At Next Shift, we believe that everyone deserves a chance to play hockey, regardless of social or financial status. We provide support to young and aspiring players, providing hockey gear and structured programs that promote leadership skills, physical fitness, and community involvement.
Next Shift is committed to gathering new and slightly used hockey gear, and distributing it to players in need as soon as possible. Through partnerships with key community organizations, we've helped over 375 local players, including more than 110 goalies. This year alone, Next Shift Hockey provided enough gear to outfit 72 players and 10 goalies in Northern Quebec, Iceland and Nepal.
Financial support is available to any players who need any form of financial assistance to enable them to play the game, or to be able to take their game to the next level. Whether it be partial registration fee assistance, assistance with team fees or any other hurdle preventing a child from playing, we are happy to help. unique needs of each individual or family we serve.
Everyone deserves access to quality coaches and a chance to learn from them. That's why we provide skills clinics for all players, regardless of skill level. With many of our coaches having played hockey at a high level, we offer “Pop-Up” skills clinics to teams or groups of all calibers in the National Capital Region.
Our partnerships with local strength and conditioning coaches enable us to offer exceptional off-ice training that is affordable and accessible to all players, regardless of their age or skill level.
